Plot Summary

The first film from music icon Slash (of Guns N' Roses fame) and the latest from the producers of THE EYE and THE RING, NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR is based on the true-life demonic folklore of Stull, Kansas. Wendy (Emmy®-Nominee Anne Heche of TV’s HUNG) and Dan (James Tupper of TV’s REVENGE) move their family from the big city to a sleepy Kansas town and take over preaching duties from retiring Pastor Kingsman (Clancy Brown of TV’s SLEEPY HOLLOW). Unbeknownst to them, their new home is actually one of the seven known gateways to Hell. The family’s quiet new beginning is savagely derailed by a charismatic but emotionally conflicted man of the cloth. Directed by the protégé of Oscar®-Winner Gore Verbinski, this heart-pounding thriller costars Ethan Gregory Peck (THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE).

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The familiar special effects are not the most disappointing element here. It's the squandering of the talented Ms. Heche, who is given top billing but almost nothing to do. – Andy Webster, New York Times, Oct 3, 2013

Rotten: Memo to Rob Zombie: Don't fear the competition. – Scott Foundas, Variety, Oct 4, 2013

Rotten: "Nothing Left to Fear" is true to its title. Director Anthony Leonardi III and writer Jonathan Mills have let not one scary moment on screen. – Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times, Oct 3, 2013

Rotten: When a family is as generic as the Bramfords, you get a little antsy waiting for them to be killed off one by one. – Rob Staeger, Village Voice, Oct 9, 2013

Don't waste your time

One of the worst movies I have seen all year, and that's saying a lot. It seems as if the entire budget of the movie was spent on the special effects, which weren't that good anyway. Just a horrible, horrible film. The people involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Open your mind

I loved it. Yea it's not going to get an Oscar or anything. But I watch movies to escape my reallity. So if I wanted a movie to be all that and not have bad acting. Why go watch a movie. Just life your life of real crap and with real effects. Come on people, it's a movie.

Worth a Watch

I don't know why everyone is bashing this movie. It's really not as bad as everyone's making it out to be. I personally really enjoyed this film. Yeah it starts off pretty slow, the acting isn't the greatest, but it's original. It's got a great score and great cinematography. It isn't your typical horror movie of today. So give it a watch.
