Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Notorious is like a piece of well-crafted bling. It looks good, and facets of it shine, but behind the gilded facade there's not much there.
Rotten: The movie leaves us with the sense that, twelve years after Biggie Smalls's death, a lot of people are trying to extract whatever profit or pride they can from the chaotic life of a young man who was, as he well knew, a work in progress.
Fresh: This tale of triumph and tragedy within hip hop's elite is intelligent, gripping and far less sensationalistic than anyone could have expected.
Fresh: If Milk set the standard for biopics in 2008, then 2009 is off to a strong start with Notorious.

Legends Never Die
This movie is a true example of what true people when determined can do anything. The short time that Christopher Frank White Wallace (AKA The Notorious B.I.G.) was here on earth changed lives from everyone who gave the time to listen to what he had to say. The amazing thing is that even though his time here was short he still lives on through his music and no one can destroy that.
Biggie Smalls is the illest
This movie was very good and you felt for biggie. At first when the movie started i knew he was going to die, but when it got to the end i was saying in my mind "please dont die" The cast overall was pretty good. This is one of my favorite movies
Great Movie!!!!!!
If this was your generation and you loved Biggie, this movie is for you. It's ashame that he died because he was seriously talented. People say negative things, but he was no worse than these other people out here. This movie is def one of my favorites. Plus for all these people commenting on the storyline...how are you gonna complain about real life? The movie just kept it real....deal with it.
