Plot Summary
OCONOMOWOC is an absurd comedy about Lonnie Washington, a confused adult who moves back in with his boozing mother and reluctantly teams up with his friend's mishandled t-shirt business in hopes of finding a little direction. Amid their differing priorities and illusions of success, the friends' future begins to take shape when they meet a keen girl who diagnoses Lonnie's life predicament as mere self-importance. The newly found talent is just enough to send the fledgling men reeling for answers to a business deal gone bad.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: "Oconomowoc" has one thing going for it: a running time of just 79 minutes, even if every one of them feels like an eternity.
Rotten: At last count, 15,792 people live in Oconomowoc, Wisc. That's about 15,000 more than will see the film that bears its name, a slender absurdist riff on the man-child coming-of-age comedy.
Rotten: Writer-director Andy Gillies' shaggy underachiever alternates between the pointless and the elliptical as the movie sputters out its nominal story ...
Rotten: Low-rent Wes Anderson, without the style or heart.
