Plot Summary

From Steve McQueen, "I think Bruce Brown's motorcycle film "On Any Sunday" is the best thing that has ever happened to motorcycling. The audience is taken on a visual ride in what I believe is finally the definitive film on motorcycling. To me it is an unforgettable film, and I was very happy to be a part of it in some small way." Writer, producer and director Bruce Brown explores this dizzying and intoxicating world of rugged road riders where cycles hit incredible speeds. Segueing into the grueling excitement of a muddy and murderous motocross race, we then move on to the tortuous mayhem of the Mexican 1000 off-track trial race down the Baja Peninsula. An exhilarating experience that puts you in the driver's seat.

GREAT movie

Wow! This is a great movie. Really glad to see it on iTunes. A must see for all dirt bikers.

Inspiring...

This movie inspired a generation of moviegoers to get on a motorcycle and ride.

The movie that changed the direction of my life.

When I saw the movie in 1971 at the age of 11, I already owned a Honda Mini-Trail 50 and my older brother had a Yamaha JT-1 Mini-Enduro (both bikes that are shown in the film). Had it not been for On Any Sunday, this might have been a passing sport for the both of us. 38 years later and about 20+ motorcycles later (I am now 49 and my brother is 51), we both still ride and race actively. Motorcycling is so rooted my DNA that I could never leave the sport even if I wanted to. Bruce Brown's genius is directly responsible for this and I can never thank him enough for making this classic film understandable to anyone who watches it. #1 on my favorite films of all time list, hands down.
