Plot Summary

A film about a messed up world… and how we could fix it. Sprinkled with music from Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Willie Nelson, One Peace At a Time lyrically weaves a tapestry through 20 countries and is as magical as it is informative. Activist Turk Pipkin (The Sopranos, Nobelity) continues his global journey of knowledge in action with a goal to create a virtual roadmap to a better future by focusing on specific solutions in these troubled times. Join Pipkin as he chronicles the model Indian orphanages of The Miracle Foundation, family planning initiatives with Thailand’s Mechai Viravaidya, Ethiopian water projects with A Glimmer of Hope, and Architecture for Humanity’s global design challenge for communities in need in the Himalayas, the Amazon and the slums of Nairobi. Be part of the solution – One Peace At a Time.

A must see film for a changing world.

A must see for people all over this great earth of all ages, creeds, and backgrounds. One of the most, if not the most, moving films I have ever seen, and the most compassionate people I have ever met. This film truly highlights the growing problems in the world, and turns an eye to the fundamental rights of every child. A truly uplifting journey through the real world solutions that are driving the struggle againts poverty, hunger, famine, and most fundamental of all, the lacking oppurtunity for a basic education. Turk and Christy Pipkin are by far some of the greatest human beings I have ever met. Their documentary "One Peace at a Time" follows up spectacularly from their first feature film "Nobelity". In this film we truly begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We get to hear the opinions of some of the leaders of todays movements to end the worlds biggest problems. This movie is both inspiring and eye opening, as Turk highlights for us the need for change, and the need for compassion. Yes there are wonderful people in this world that spend their lives making a differene, but you can too. In the words of Nobel Laureate Jody Williams: "There is nothing difficult about change, it's just getting up and taking the first step" Keep changing the world guys! One peace at a time.
