Plot Summary

The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate (Vera Farmiga) and John (Peter Sarsgaard), taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate's fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt another child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman)...but Esther is not what she appears to be and, concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther's sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late...for everyone.

deserves more than five stars..

I saw this movie three times in theatres, which is odd since i rarely go to the movies. Its a GREAT horror movie, and it is different than most.

Isabelle Fuhrman is a great "Orphan"

This movie is just very scary and horrible at the end.The Orphan who is played by 12 year old Isabelle Fuhrman is the best actress who can make the best russian accent.I love this movie even though it friqhtened me out my pants it is awesome. The best made yet which chose out the correct actors for it.I truly reccomend it for the non-coward who is buyinq this(j.k. on the coward)I advise you not to show people under 13 because it is very friqhtninq and has intimate sex scenes and also 40% cussinq.Otherwise this movie deserves 50 million thumbs up.But that's all.
