Plot Summary

Some say that Pathology is a window to God. As doctors, they see the perversion and corruption of the flesh by all means unnatural...by violence...by toxin...by madness...to determine the cause of death. When med school student Ted Gray (Milo Ventimiglia) graduates top of his class he joins one of the nation's most prestigious Pathology programs. With talent and determination Ted is quickly noticed by the program's privileged and elite band of pathology interns who invite him into their crowd. Intrigued by his new friends he begins to uncover secrets he never expected and finds that he has unknowingly become a pawn in their dangerous and secret after-hours game at the morgue of who can commit the perfect undetectable murder. As Ted becomes seduced into their wild extracurricular activities the danger becomes real and he must stay one step ahead of the game before he is the next victim.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Like its characters, the pic is too clever for its own good, allowing the meticulously researched scenario to be undone by implausible behavior and gaping plot holes. – Peter Debruge, Variety, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Gleefully brimming with body parts and bad behavior, Pathology is a fun piece of flamboyant tastelessness. – Mark Olsen, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: A particularly nasty slice of medical-themed horror, Marc Scholermann's film is the sort of thriller in which the tenderest scene depicts an autopsy. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Even squeamish viewers are apt to be captivated by the tight, credible scripting; these 20-somethings talk and behave like today's irony-clad young sophisticates. And whatever your opinion of the subject matter, you can't fault the filmmaking. – Sandy MacDonald, Boston Globe, Jun 24, 2010

Good vs. Evil?

The disgusting personalities of the characters in this movie give great dramatic tension from the very first scene to the very last scene. The characters vie in competition against each other to be the “winner” in their “game.” The dramatic tension keeps the viewer’s attention in thrall. But there are three or four unforeseeable twists and turns at the end that make this movie well worth watching!

A must watch

Yeah its bloddy, yeah its graphic. But the plot is overwhelming with great ideas. If you have the time and money i suggest you buy it. It keeps you in suspense and will weird you out

Sickly Entertaining

Milo Ventimiglia and Michael Weston provide lovely eye candy in this movie. The movie is sick yet entertaining. Twisted yet totally gripping. I must admit, the trailer makes it look a tad bit better than it really is but that's only because the trailer is so fantastic! Hard to live up to something like that ;) In any case, best movie I've seen in a very long time.
