Plot Summary
Patton Oswalt is back with his Comedy Central stand-up special "Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time." Performing for a full house at Spreckels Theatre in San Diego, Patton covers the trials and tribulations of frozen food, a failed outing with a prostitute, fatherhood and beyond. This extended and uncensored special is surely Patton at his best.

Well done
Oswalt is one of the best comedian out there.
But I do think its comedy minus tragedy equals time.
His best material in years.
Patton knocks it out of the park with this set. Don't settle for the censored, 43 minute version Comedy Central aired last weekend. They cut out some very funny stuff to make it fit into an hour.
mediocre for him, but better than most.
Like a 34 year old pitcher who has begun to lose his fastball, Oswalt delivers, but not quite in the same way you might expect. If you love Oswalt, by all means by this - at his most phoning it in, he's better than most of what is on offer on iTunes, no doubt. But you are likely to feel it is his weakest outing. If you are a sort of casual fan, like me, you might not want to buy it. I now own this and can't imagine rewatching it. The nerdy, but sporadically really interesting commentary on the culture is mostly absent, and there are just not many lol moments. It's a weak effort by a talented comic.
