Plot Summary
Directed by two time Academy Award nominee Bruce Beresford, Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding stars Academy Award winning Jane Fonda, two time Academy Award nominated Catherine Keener, international heartthrob Chace Crawford, and Sundance's "breakout star" Elizabeth Olsen. A comedy about an uptight New York City lawyer who takes her two spirited teenagers to her hippie mother's farmhouse in the countryside for a family vacation. What was meant to be a weekend getaway quickly turns into a summer adventure of romance, music, family secrets, and self discovery.

Rotten: Peace, Love & Misunderstanding mostly comes across as chintzy and uninspired as its title.
Rotten: "Peace, Love & Misunderstanding" treats the Hudson Valley as a kind of Eden, and it is not the first film to do so, merely one of the duller. All is schematic in the extreme.
Rotten: There is no casting decision or character nuance or plot turn too obvious to indulge.
Rotten: How you feel about "Peace, Love & Misunderstanding" will depend on how you feel about aging hippies and the continuing relevance of all things Woodstock.

This was a great movie to realize life isn't always about what you think it is! It isn't always about you and what your going through, it is about the journey and what your going too!
Jane Fonda & Catherine Keener make a great team in this fun for the family movie! It made me Sad, Mad, LOL, smile and cry. Isn't that what movies are suppose to do! 5 Stars!
Hippie love
This movie is incredible, one of the most quirkiest movies I've seen. The cast were brilliant and so was the direction. I can honestly say this is my new favorite movie of Jane Fonda. The movie has its family issues, new discoveries and new loves. Brilliant work. Amazing.
