Plot Summary
Recent events on Wall Street lead us to believe that global financial institutions and Fortune 500 corporations are motivated by little more than greed. The worldwide economic slump will likely last for years and is blamed squarely on the profit motive gone amok in the largely unregulated world of high finance and big business. But ironically, the gloomy headlines have masked a very different picture of big business, one that throws into question the very DNA of the corporate body. The unlikeliest of partners – Big Business and Big Charity are suddenly, irrevocably, being bound together by the lure of billions to be made by each. Two distinct groups with seemingly opposite mandates are huddling together in boardrooms and basements trying to work together. Can both profit? Should both profit? And, perhaps that’s a good thing.
