I love the truth of this movie!
I enjoyed this movie thoroughly. I loved how the book was read as Christian was on his journey. I highly recommend this movie. God doesn't leave us alone to figure out life by ourselves. He brings helpers to help us in every leg of our journey while here on this earth. Oh man, this was an awesome movie. Based on the Truth, and so engaging and entertaining!
A Faithful retelling
I have read Pilgrims Progress and watched the film. This is I believe a faithful retelling especially with the added map that follows the character's path. The film is a modern retelling which makes it accessible to everyone, yet it does not leave the path so to speak by creating a film that is not dependable in it's trustworthiness of the book. you can Just about follow the book in your head while watching the film. but read the book first. you'll get more out of the film.
Pilgrim’s Progress
The movie was well done and worth the time to watch it. It followed the book very well. I watched it with my children and they both enjoyed the action and the message of the movie. We had read the book together several years ago so it was a nice refresher on the themes. After the movie, it inspired a lively conversation with my children and I. My kids are 10 and 13 so it was really engaging for them and myself. It speaks of spiritual truths of our struggles with the enemy of our souls as well as our natural desire to go our own way into paths of ease and not much resistance. However, it does show that when we choose to stay on the path of righteousness, the Lord is faithful to help up through all our troubles. It is a movie well worth the time to watch.
