Plot Summary

Just when he's needed most, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), that witty and wily charmer of a pirate, is trapped on a sea of sand in Davy Jones' Locker. In an increasingly shaky alliance, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) begin a desperate quest to find and rescue him. Captain Jack's the last of the nine Pirate Lords of the Brethren Court who must come together united in one last stand to preserve the freedom-loving pirates' way of life. From exotic Singapore to World's End and beyond, from Shipwreck Island to a titanic battle, this adventure's filled with over-the-edge action, irreverent humor and seafaring myth and magic. Everything has led to this twisting, turning, wild swashbuckling ride in this final chapter of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogy.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Not so much thought out as strung together -- colorful incident upon colorful incident, but without logic, gathering suspense or any attempt to establish emotional connections between audience and actors. – Richard Schickel, TIME Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: A glazed, inhuman, cluttered piece of work, a storytelling mishmash that buries the considerable charms of its actors under heavy drifts of silt. – Stephanie Zacharek, Salon.com, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: Worth seeing for the jaw-dropping action, the doses of irreverent humor and of course the star power of Depp, Knightley, Rush, Orlando Bloom, Bill Nighy, Chow Yun-Fat and a host of other talented actors who utter their lines with Shakespearean gusto. – Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Buoyed by luck, comedy and state-of-the-art special effects, it has not only survived the journey intact, it's also washed down its decks, ready for a whole new cycle of movies to begin. – Steve Rose, Guardian, Dec 4, 2007

Captain Jack is Back!

POTC 3 is back and better than ever. This movie is so good, even though it is close to 3 hours. There is alot of action, death, and romance. You are never bored watching it. There is so much going on at once, it can get confusing, but once you see it, it isn't. I saw it 3 times in theaters. It was amazing. I love Johnny Depp and Pirates of the Caribbean. Let's hope for a fourth! <33johnny

This movie had everything and more!

This movie was everything I wanted for the last POTC movie and more. I was so excited to see this movie after the second movie's major cliffhanger and this movie was just simply amazing. My favorite movie series did not disappoint me with At World's End. It was one of the best movies I have seen in my life! If I could give iot more than five stars, trust me I would. :)

Pirates is fearcer than ever!

Sparrow and the rest of the gang is back in one of the best Pirate movies ever. This movie is better then 1 and 2. I suggest watching it.
