Fresh: Bluntly edited, with no hand-holding transitional scenes, the film is an intimate portrait of an idealistic, understaffed, sometimes wrongheaded team battling youth prostitution, thievery rings and adult predators from every class of society. – Colin Covert, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Jun 28, 2012

Speechless

It is a masterpiece... One of the best movies of the year! Raw, intense, sad and real...

Aw-ful

Saw this at TriBeCa Film Fest. Awful. Whoever was their law enforcement technical advisor should be fired. So many errors it's ridiculous. Additionally, the director just wrote her part in for something to do. Her character is thin, not well developed and, in general, annoying. If I could give this film 0 stars, I would. I will NEVER understand why people fall all over themselves for this crap film.

An unflinching, unapologetic, and moving masterpiece.

This movie manages to repulse and frustrate, while at the same time, to impact and enthrall. With stunning use of riveting dialogue, committed character development, and a reckless, brutally poignant storyline, Polisse captures the heart, shakes it up in quite a flourish, and leaves it in a daze when the camera stops rolling.
