Plot Summary

Plus-sized transvestite Divine (the original "Hairspray," "Pink Flamingos") stars opposite '50s heartthrob Tab Hunter ("Dark Horse," "Out of the Dark") in this comic tale about a housewife with an overdeveloped sense of smell who is driven to the brink of insanity by her nightmarish husband, children and mother. But she finds true love with a handsome man who drives a white Corvette. Directed by John Waters ("A Dirty Shame," "Serial Mom").
