Plot Summary
A rip-snortin' Western with a twist. After being given a mission to recover a chest of gold, a company of Black infantrymen desert their unit after the Spanish-American War when they realize that their sadistic commanding officer will kill them and claim the treasure for himself. With the commander on their tail, the company rides into town, and the tight-knit group finds itself headed for a showdown.

Rotten: An overdirected, overphotographed, overdone movie that is so distracted by its hectic, relentless style that the story line is rendered almost incoherent.
Rotten: Some interesting race-related points are raised, but Van Peebles disappoints by focusing instead on the standard elements of the genre.

Got the movie.
OK, you got the movie, I bought it. But with all the great music (and musicians) in the movie, I can't believe the soundtrack isn't avalaible here. Please add the SNDTRK.
Black Cowboy
This is a excellent modern black western film that showcased the black cowboys and showed rare vintage footage of black cowboy movies. I wish iTunes can go back in the vault and have these movies for sale I would be the first to buy them.
Western Revisionist Movie
This is a good movie to use as a Western Revisionist movie. Though it is not listed as so, it may seem terrible becuase it doesn't follow to conventional western theme. I found it entertaining to say the least and the facts at the end of the movie were interesting.
