Plot Summary

Choucas is not a cop. But he was, once. Like many other ex-cops, Choucas is now a private dick, one whose connections with official police and knowledge of their various failings enables him to go about his investigations in an unorthodox and somewhat brutal matter... An old lady comes to see Choucas, sent by a policeman. Her daughter, a young woman who is blind, has disappeared. A routine matter, apparently. Yet hardly has Choucas begun to investigate that all hell breaks lose. Choucas gets hit on the head by an individual he has never seen in his life; receives a phone call from the old lady giving him a date at the station, where, before Choucas'eyes she is murdered. And there is more to come... He is now wanted for two murders and searched for by every cop in town, except those who have been manipulating from the start... He can't get out and he can't back down. Either he gets to the bottom of things or he's had it...
