Plot Summary
Pete Cozy (Eric Mabius) has found himself a house in the suburbs and a job in the pricing department of a middling supermarket chain. Pete's job allows him to spend quality time with his wife and young son and, despite the fact that they are drowning in debts, they appear happy. Everything changes when Pete gets a new boss, the beautiful, high powered, fast talking Susan Felders (Parker Posey). With Susan's influence, Pete finds himself on the executive track.. Something that both surprises and excites him. The more his salary increases, the more he has to perform at work… and the less time he gets to spend with his family. At the same time, his relationship with his boss begins to cross the line of professional etiquette. Both become enamored with one another – creating tension in the workplace and in his personal home life. PRICE CHECK is a smart and honest comedy that examines who we think we are and what we’re willing to do for the life we think we deserve.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Parker Posey cuts a ferociously funny swath through Michael Walker's "Price Check," a corporate comedy that tells you more than you ever wanted to know about the hypercompetitive world of retail marketing.
Fresh: Posey, her attention divided up into slivers, is funny as hell, but she's also terrifying in her evocation of a kind of moment-to-moment PowerPoint existence.
Fresh: [A] charming and slightly unhinged low-budget comedy.
Rotten: Disjointed, tonally numb and short of laughs, this indie comedy hasn't got a fresh ingredient in it.

Wait until it's 99 cents
Posey is great and it starts off well and then falls into the dark hole of 'the writers couldn't figure out how to end it' genre.
Save your money and wait until it only costs 99 cents or less.
what is this movie about
if it weren't for Parker Posey this movie would be completely worthless. What is it about? Do any of the characters grow or learn something? No, it is just like a 3 month window into their world and not a whole lot is happening in their world. Definitely NOT worth $10.00 - it would be ok if it were $0.99 or something. Parker Posey is great, but the other actors there is simply nothing there. It is as if the director told all the actors to just read their lines and then shot the movie.
FANTASTIC!
I already liked Parker Posey, but this movie makes the crazy (that she's so good at playing) shine with sexy sparkle. A GREAT indie movie, professionally shot, great story, romance/drama/comedy- a really nice balance. This is when indie movies outshine mainstream film. HIGHLY recommend!
