Plot Summary

"PROJECT X #XTENDEDCUT" follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors—Thomas, Costa and J.B.—as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let's throw a party that no one will forget, and have a camera there, to document history in the making… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. "PROJECT X #XTENDEDCUT" is a warning to parents and police everywhere.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: "Project X" bears a cravenly piggish attitude toward rewarding socially unacceptable behavior that feels unseemly rather than exciting, so-what rather than so-funny and obvious instead of new. – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, Mar 2, 2012

Rotten: "There's a midget in the oven!" is about as inspired as the dialogue and set pieces get in this queasy-making entertainment about a 17-year-old dude's birthday bacchanalia. – Melissa Anderson, Village Voice, Mar 2, 2012

Rotten: There is no way you could make this movie stupider or more pointlessly noisy than it already is. – Sara Stewart, New York Post, Mar 2, 2012

Rotten: A thin, painfully overlong comedy about an out-of-control party thrown by a trio of high-school losers. – Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post, Mar 2, 2012

NOTICE

This movie is recommended for people with a sense of humor and high-school or college students. If you're looking for something all around funny as an adult, I would suggest any of the Hangover films or try 21 Jump Street. Personally, I thought it was one of the funniest and most amazing movies I'd ever seen, this movie isn't for mature people, the immaturity is what makes it so funny to us students. Vote this up so people will know.

screw rotten tomatoes

this movie is great for high school and college students who are always looking for the next big party, not the mature. Probably one of the best party movies ever.

YOLO!!!!!
