Plot Summary

Three years ago, Donna (Brittany Snow, John Tucker Must Die) watched in horror as an obsessed predator (Johnathon Schaech, That Thing You Do!) murdered her family. Tonight is her senior prom and although she's anxious about the past, she's excited to celebrate her future with her friends. What Donna doesn't know is that the deranged psychopath has escaped from the asylum. He's returned to hunt her down, intent on killing anyone who gets in his way. As the night races towards its heart-pounding conclusion, the question becomes not who will be prom queen, but who will survive the killer's rampage.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: For a film about erotomania, Prom Night is a curiously flaccid affair. – Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: There's no need to wear a corsage to Prom Night. And leaving your higher brain functions at home might be a good idea, too. – Clark Collis, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: About as spine-tingling as an algebra exam. – Michael Rechtshaffen, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: There's no suspense or perversity. You don't care who lives or who dies -- just please make it soon. – Wesley Morris, Boston Globe, Jun 24, 2010

buy only

i want to see it but i dont want to buy it

Despite its endless list of flaws, I love this movie!

This movie has been the cause of so much criticism this year. And I'll admit, it has an endless list of flaws, plot holes, and stupidity that would make it easy to give it 1 star only. But for some reason, I still really enjoyed the movie. It works as both a thriller, a horror movie, a teen drama, and a comedy (some laughs are unintentional but...that's the fun of it). My advice: give it a try, and you may end up liking it. Don't listen to all of the haters; make your own opinion first!

well

i havent seen it yet and i want to but i dont have enough money to buy it and i dont know if its good or bad but my sister says its really good and it looks really good for a horror flick so when i have enough money im buying it (or if they put it on rent renting it) and you should buy it too
