Plot Summary

In today's world of modern conveniences, everything we rely on is run by electricity. But what happens if the power we take for granted turns against us? Old man Holger (Charles Tyner) knows. He claims electricity is a living presence, whose voice can only be silenced by getting rid of anything that can hear it. Bill Rockland (Cliff De Young), however, refuses to believe him. It must have been an accident when an electric spark ruptured the gas pipe that nearly killed Bill's son (Joey Lawrence). And it's surely a coincidence when his wife (Roxanne Hart) is severely scalded by their electric water heater. But when his own power tools attack him and an electrical fire turns their home into ablazing inferno, Bill realizes Holger may have been right after all, and perhaps the time has come to finally pull the plug.

Classic

Although this movie is older than what most people are looking for these days; It's a classic thats worth the time. It's a great movie when you're alone curled up at 2am; It can pull you into a realm of 'what if?' and creep you out to be anywhere near the appliances...

still relevent *and* entertaining!

I really enjoyed this! The idea of technology taking over our lives is something that's obviously still relevent today. This is an entertaining film and has a bit of a sci-fi tone to it. Also there's a crazy old man in this one and that's always entertaining.

Electrifying!

There is nothing in the world like a well illustrated classic! If your a true sci-fi horror fan and enjoy sitting back and watching a good plot unfold, then this is the movie for you. This is one of those movies that makes you feel like you have a flash light and are discovering all of the spooky bumps and twists and turns that live in your house and believe me, there is nothing scarier then seeing the things that seem most familiar and safe transformed before your very eyes!
