Plot Summary

Up-and-coming actress Maggie Chase (Tanna Frederick) craves two things the most: real fame and true love. Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: This meandering, talky film-industry satire never manages to rouse itself from a near-comatose level of self-satisfaction. – Andrew Barker, Variety, Nov 22, 2010

Rotten: Henry Jaglom again tries to mix comedy with melodrama with decidedly mixed results. – Kirk Honeycutt, Hollywood Reporter, Nov 22, 2010

Rotten: Queen of the Lot is sort of sweet in its earnestness, sort of frustratingly delusional, and ultimately unsubstantial -- but there are moments of meta-provocation that almost justify the lopsided enterprise. – Karina Longworth, Village Voice, Nov 30, 2010

Rotten: Mocking Tinseltown is a pretty exhausted subject, and even Jaglom, a genuine insider, has a hard time making it fresh. – Walter V. Addiego, San Francisco Chronicle, Dec 9, 2010
