Plot Summary

Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is in love with a brooding outsider Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, but the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon (Gary Oldman), to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. Panic grips the town as Valerie discovers that she has a unique connection to the beast-one that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect...and bait.

Not As Good As I Hoped...But It's Okay!

Yea this movie was just okay..I think the trailers definitely make the movie look much better than what it really is. Thankfully its not bad like Twilight, but it just like its missing something. I will say that this movie is entertaining, it looks beautiful, & unlike twilight it does have good acting & good looking actors.lol...Definitely a good rental...but I wouldn't buy it!! I Hope This Review Was Helpful!:)

if u read the book instead of relying on a movie u mite like sumthing

i read the book when i found out it was going to be a movie and it was amazing so i didnt get my expectations high because the whole "twilight" craze. i was sooooo wrong. the book does explain what the movie cant so i would recomend reading it 1st (ps the last chapter of the book is only found online) then see the movie. if u only see the movie then u will think its another twilight blah blah blah.
DONT LISTEN TO OTHER PPL!!!!
u all have minds. u can make an opinion urself. and mine is that the movie is a great adaptation of the book and anyone who was disappointed in twilight will love this movie

A dazzling ride

(When you read this have in notice that I'm not a fan of "Twilight") The movie takes you on an atmosphere where you feel different. The visualizations were beautiful and dazzling. The acting was good, in my opinion Amanda could have been better but she did well and so the rest. The plot was the typical "Who did it" but it was worth going through all the "Who did it" style because you will be thinking and thinking and you'll still be wrong. This is a movie Tim Burton would have thought about doing but a little bit more darker. I really enjoyed the film and I really don't see why many people compare this to the badly done "Twilight". The director from "Twilight" did a BETTER job in this movie and besides her horrible debut (If I am not mistaken) well she deserves the credit she deserves for this dark fantasy film. Really good to watch once in a while.
