Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Its narrative continuity is so sketchy and the screenplay so haphazard that the movie doesn't add up to more than trash, seasoned with pretentious religiosity. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, Jun 27, 2013

Fresh: Puts an intriguing, intermittently successful spin on the sort of loner Statham so often embodies. – Peter Debruge, Variety, Jun 24, 2013

Rotten: [Knight] fills his story with too many contrivances - not to mention narrative strands ... – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Jun 27, 2013

Fresh: Statham uses his steely watchfulness and grim demeanor to draw us in. He and the film wind up engaging, even as the script stretches credibility. – Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News, Jun 27, 2013

Terrible story line

Disappointment for Jason Statham type of movies. Slow moving and inconsistent story takes shape throughout the movie. Would not recommend

Redemption

I agree with Tommy. Jason's worst movie yet! Very slow.

An actor is born!!!

Jason Statham may have just transcended his action only genre and revealed to us his ability to be a good actor. I loved this movie and strongly encourage anyone on the dense to give it a chance - you'll be surprised and don't worry Statham is still Statham through it all.
