Chrissy and Lauren, two innocent bloggers, must fight not only the Cretins, mutants, and monsters, but the evil Tromorganic Foodstuffs Conglomerate as well. Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Mr. Kaufman's talent can be debated, but his love for his job is stamped on every garish, oozy frame. – Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times, Jan 9, 2014

Fresh: Die-hard Troma buffs may be amused by all of this, and by the wink-wink references to such studio icons as the Toxic Avenger and Sgt. Kabukiman. – Joe Leydon, Variety, Jan 10, 2014

Rotten: Some clever ideas -- the new Cretins harmonize, setting their atrocities to barbershop quartet numbers -- don't negate the tired, exploitative nature of most of the action. – Rob Staeger, Village Voice, Jan 7, 2014

Rotten: Even if it weren't a quasi-remake of 1986's anarchic Class of Nuke 'Em High, it would still feel borrowed and shoddy: Back is the cheesy green-goo spouting out of heads as students turn "cretin" from toxic food. – Joshua Rothkopf, Time Out New York, Mar 20, 2014

Must have for Troma fans

If you love Troma movies you will love this one. Great B movie.not as good as Toxic Avenger or the Original Class of Nuke Em High. It is a must have for those that love this style of movie, it has some slow parts the acting could be better, however it is good and should be seen by folks that love this style of Troma or B movies. Lloyd Is in the movie as always and is great. Also the movie is part 1 of 2.

The New Class

I was impressed with this remake. I was hoping for a classic Cretins return but this one is okay with today's youth. There's a lot of current satire that reflects current times like the original. I can't wait for Vol. 2. I just hope Troma keeps this type of storyline with every volume remake. Maybe they can return some more characters from the previous ones. Overall, worth the wait and good for a Saturday night flick with some beer and popcorn. I miss USA "Up all Night" type movies that showed this type of humor and B side genres.
