Plot Summary

Vin Diesel reprises his role as the antihero Riddick in the latest chapter of the groundbreaking saga. A dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy, Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for him to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. With time running out and a deadly storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy. Also starring Katee Sackhoff (TV’s Battlestar Galactica), Karl Urban (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Dave Bautista (WWE).

Rotten: Riddick, an alternately kick-ass and clumsy piece of sci-fi claptrap that puts its empty head down and gets the job done. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Sep 6, 2013

Rotten: Move along, there's nothing to see and no one to root for in this murky franchise reboot. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Sep 5, 2013

Fresh: David Twohy's film is scarcely original, but the sheer survivalist grind of our hero, against comical odds, becomes appealingly mad ... – Anthony Lane, New Yorker, Sep 16, 2013

Good Entertainment

Maybe just me but I really like the whole "Riddick" saga. i enjoy each of the movies as each have there own depth and I like the connection to the other movies. Karl Urban would be nice to see a 4th movie IF they make it. The Necromonga name is kind of lame and they should have chosen some other name for those planet killer guys, but they will have to live with it now. The second movie, I thought was really good. Not sure why everyone likes Pitch Black over the other two, but in total this is a very good franchise. Rent or buy it & you will enjoy it IF you are a true "Riddick" fan like me. I'll take these over the Fast & furious movies that Vin has done.

RIDDICK

I have enjoyed Vin Desiel's work and bought this early because I was looking for his character overcomming again. I was stressed to no end with the idiot screen writers insertion of the F bomb and etc. in nearly ever scene. The plot and Vin needs no crap added to make it better. If you can ignore the screen writers crap you will enjoy the movie.

LOVE RIDDICK

I have loved the Riddick movies, even when the screen writing was not the best.
