riddle of the black cat

I barely know where to start...magical and unique drawings, simple yet complex and highly effective animation, EXCEPTIONAL soundtrack and, of course, a great story by E.A. Poe...all put together seamlessly by Mr.Rinzler and his obviously highly talented team. This is an animated film that is truly wonderful in every way and perfectly evocative of the spirit of Poe. It deserves to be seen by all...2.99 well spent...I promise you.

Giving 'The Cat' a new dimension

This is a wonderful alternative take on Poe's classic 'The Black Cat', with the twist of a cross-over appearance by another formidable Poe character in the mix to give a new perspective. -Worlds collide. The voice acting is spot-on and the artwork is perfectly evocative of the shaky psychology of the narrator. Just enough motion and finely timed editing to give the moody illustrations extra life. Nice score too. It's a well-crafted piece, and must-see for any fan of Poe's work.

Loads of Fun!

Very enjoyable! This fresh interpretation of the Poe classic is every bit as dark as Poe would have wanted it. The tale is thought-provoking, the animation is superb, and the voices and sound design just as good. I watched it twice, which is the great thing about shorts - easy, entertaining viewing.
