Very Great Work

There is many great films by the Lovely Marilyn Monroe, and this is one of them, It is not the fun Blonde Bombshell film you would be use to seeing, she plays a rough and tough person. It is very talented.... I give this 5 stars, Marilyn your work Lives on and It is always in our hearts... Other Great Marilyn Monroe Films I Suggest: Some Like It Hot, Seven Year Itch, Don't Bother To Knock, Niagra, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, Bus Stop, How To Marry A Millionaire...:)

Good Marilyn, but...

This movie is so amazingly politically incorrect and corny that it really takes away from Marilyn's performance, which was, I'd say, great for her because she plays a different character then she usually does. Of course she still is the blonde bombshell type that she was never able to break free from, but her character is a little tougher. However, this is, to be honest, one of my least favorites of her films. I would highly recommend one of her comedies over a Western.

River of no return

This is the real Marilyn! She and Robert Mitchum had to do all of their own stunts. She almost drowned and Robert got really wet. Story's not so bad but I would definitely not say it was a "class B" as the reviewers wrote. This movie took a lot of guts on everyone's part & is now considered a classic. And doesn't Marilyn look sexy in those tight-fittin' jeans??? Plays her own guitar too. You want to see the real marilyn before she became notorious? Then take a look at this movie. Btw, Robert Mitchum sings the title song, but receives no credit for it
