Plot Summary
Jimmy, a longtime roadie for the legendary Blue Oyster Cult, has been fired by the band. With nowhere else to go, he returns home to see his aging mom in Forest Hills, Queens, where a wild encounter with two old high school friends shows him that some things never change.

Fresh: Mr. Eldard, who brings layers of complication to his character, makes Jimmy's vulnerability palpable, while Ms. Hennessy shows you her character's carelessness and opportunism.
Fresh: Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll get a markedly downbeat spin in Roadie, helmer Michael Cuesta's take on youthful dreams gone out of tune.
Fresh: I simultaneously want to endorse its ambition and nerve and report that it's a very mixed bag.

Surprisingly winning!
Four stars is "Good" in iTunes land.
Starting with a very weak expository opening, this movie gets better as it moves along and quickly draws you in. Small in scale and totally undemanding, it's also sweetly entertaining, and very respectful of all its characters and of its audience. These are not minor virtues these days.
My only complaint is that this is yet another small indie whose soundtrack consists of varied plaintive guitar chimes, wails and textures: the production music library of our time.
Amazing Story and Film!
This movie was really great! If you like movies that take people back to where they grew-up and how they deal with where they have come in life, you will love this one! I loved it!
expensive mistake
$9.99 to rent a movie--guess they don't want anyone to see it.
Or it is just another mindless itunes mistake.
