Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Mr. Pitt is a credible lunkhead, and Ms. Arianda is a delight, dressing Rosie's filthy mouth in the sweetest of smiles. If you were Tommy, you'd want to give her everything, too. – Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times, Mar 20, 2014

Fresh: Raymond De Felitta's second collaboration with producer-star Andy Garcia is a lively true-crime tale with a sensational turn from Nina Arianda. – Guy Lodge, Variety, Mar 16, 2014

Fresh: "Rob the Mob" skims over the lifted-from-the-headlines exploits of an outlaw couple and gleans a humanist drama steeped in sentimentality. – Martin Tsai, Los Angeles Times, Mar 27, 2014

Rotten: The stickups, while plenty funny - an Uzi firing uncontrollably can still be hilarious - lack any sense of dread or danger. – Sam Weisberg, Village Voice, Mar 18, 2014

Brilliant

This movie- which i will admit i decided to watch out of being tired of what was on netflix- was absolutely brilliant… Michael Pitt and Nina Arianda are magical together and they will put a smile on your face. The movie is given a sense of substance due to the fact that it is a true story along with the incorporation of all of the various “wise guy” actors that are featured in the major mob movies throughout the past twenty years…. The film itself looks wonderful and there are some really great shots and scenes that are just beautiful (I watched it on a retina macbook) Andy Garcia also gave a commanding performance and throw in a little Ray Romano and you have quite a good movie. Not to mention Nina Arianda’s role was acted to PERFECTION! The only thing more beautiful than her in this movie is her personality. Worth the money for sure

Not enough

There’s not enough here to justify a movie. Hollywood is out of ideas, they’ve got nothing.

That's a very well blended mixture of genres!!!

Very nice film which has and crime, and drama, comedy, romance, thriller and an amazing true story all together creating a delightful blend of a movie. At the beginning the female lead character somehow really got on my nerves(not very likable lady)))but after some time I learned appreciate the fact that she really does have an amazing acting talent and after that all the film was very captivating, sad and humorous at the same time.

Also ,it was very nice to see Andy Garsia again in the role he does the best(the mobster) and added benefit of bunch of very familiar faces from the cast of Sopranos!!!

All in all definitely recommended!
