Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: A movie about the gullible and pitched to the naive, Rock Star struggles to resist being as generic as its title, but is never more than just another replay of the hoary postulate that showbiz is all about rising, falling and being redeemed.
Fresh: It has a comical sense of history and seems perfectly aware that it is recounting a myth.
Fresh: An irresistible movie about a guy who goes on a journey, the kind an audience can't wait to take with him.
Rotten: A grueling and pointless endurance test

You could make a lot of money!!
Hey iTunes, why isn't the soundtrack for this movie available? It was amazingly good, and I really think that Steel Dragon were amazing. Put it on and satisfy many metalheads!
One of my favorites
While I was a 1988 high school graduate, I was not into the rock scene at all. However, this movie spoke to me. Loved the music, the costumes, and the topic. The rise and fall of a rock star and the things they have to give up to achieve their success. Great flick.
Loved mark Wahlberg's character and REALLY loved Timothy Olyphant...he has a great smile.
Where is the soundtrack to this movie though?? Would love to have the ending song "Colorful" on my iTouch.
One of the greatest movies I know
The first time I saw this movie I knew it would be an instant classic! Mark Wahlberg is great and is the perfect part in this movie!
