Plot Summary
Lukas is a prisoner in his own body. As a pre-op transgendered person, he is constantly finding himself trapped in uncomfortable, compromising positions. His best friend, Ine introduces him to the gay scene in Cologne where he meets the confident and gorgeous, Fabio. The two develop a romantic relationship that tests the boundaries of love. ROMEOS forgoes stereotypes and conventions to offer an honest and humorous examination of the most basic of human conditions: friendship, sex, and love.

I have to admit, I don't understand, or maybe can't comprehend the gender dysphoria concept. I understand "curiosity" but it would not make me feel like I'm in the wrong body. So, for that reason I'm usually turned off by movies about transgendered persons. HOWEVER... This movie addresses that very issue and along with an attractive hero who wasn't afraid to be in the buff, I was kept entertained by this movie. It also asks the question: What role does gender and/or gender identity play in who we fall in love with? Does gender really matter? It tackles preconceptions about the T part of the LGBT community with out being godawful and depressing. I have left this movie a little bit more understanding, but still wanting to keep my manhood...
