Plot Summary
Japanese schoolgirl Sakura (Higarino) has her idyllic small-town life turned inside-out when the local men start savagely killing the women. Armed with only her kyudo bow for protection and an English textbook for comfort, Sakura journeys through an apocalyptic world of mayhem. As trauma from witnessing the violent deaths of friends and family drives her toward madness, Sakura takes refuge in an animated dreamworld where she meets Billy (Mackenzie), a character from her English text! Billy helps her survive murderous zombies, as well as an even more formidable foe in Aoi (Tsujimoto), as she races to find real-world Billy and answers to the questions: Why is all this happening? And who or what is behind it?

Creative story, well made film
Saw this at Fantasia, a film festival in Montreal. It started well, with tension building as the apocalypse develops and the film follows the schoolgirl as she is faced with new horrible realities. Her escapes into her own dreamworld are entertaining and show her things that she needs to know to cope and resolve the chaos around her. There are moments of dark humor, and some gory wound effects. The actors are good, and film is well crafted. Its more than just a relentless zombie onslaught kind of film. Recommended if you like creative takes on commonly used film devices, and films that are not just more of the same.
Interesting movie
well made movie although it is a low budget film. the scenario is good and the performance of the actors are great. I recommend it as an interesting movie For the curious film buffs....
Great low budget movie!
If you like post apocalypse movies and don't mind low budget, you'll enjoy this movie. I thought it was well shot, had decent acting and an interesting story.
