Plot Summary

In the film, Jean-Claude Van Damme plays an official who's just been appointed as "Second in Command" to the U.S. Ambassador at an American Embassy in a small, turbulent Eastern European nation. When local insurgents attempt a coup d'etat, the nation's President takes refuge inside the embassy. The embassy is then besieged by the well-armed insurgents. The U.S. Ambassador is killed in the ensuing action, and now it's up to Van Damme and the embassy's small detachment of U.S. Marines to fend off the attackers.

So bad it's good

This is a terrible film, but, it's one of those that is so bad, it's funny. If you want a good action movie, this is not it. If you want to watch a movie that is so awful from start to finish you will at times be in tears laughing, I highly recommend it! Really, I enjoyed watching this film, and it spurred my interest in other awful "b" (or should be "c") action movies.

Great idea that didn't work

I can't picture JCVD leading a group of soldiers telling them what to do ordering them around. Seems like a job for Tom Hanks or a Brad Pitt, but Jean-Claude? Ever since JCVD worked with Ringo Lam in "In Hell" his acting has been much better. Ringo turned him into a better actor.

For some weird reason

I think Steven segal saw this and said "Crap...I have competition"...this movie was not good.
