Plot Summary
Two young women discover the power of sex to get what they want in the male-dominated business world. Nathalie, a performance artist-stripper, instructs her new friend, the beautiful but inexperienced Sandrine, on the art of seduction. Without delay, they put their skills to use at a Parisian bank, where both rise to the top. But they meet their match in the ruthless son of the bank's president - a vain, unbridled, power hungry monster.

Fresh: Jean-Claude Brisseau's French film is a frequently overheated, often delirious fantasy about two Parisiennes in their early 20's.
Fresh: An artistically ambitious exercise that enables audiences to be simultaneously teased erotically and intellectually.
Rotten: Either a highly erotic art film trading in sex, power and morality, or a trashy porno pretending to be deep. After watching two hours of hot young French women having sex with men, each other and themselves, I have to go with the latter.
Rotten: You couldn't nail a particular kind of modern French film better if you tried: explicit sex, bad behavior, and shrieking pretention all in one lumpy shock-the-bourgeoisie package.

Outstanding but hard to describe
48 hours after seeing this film I am still trying to decide what I think, but separate from that, I can say that I was aware for most of the movie that I was seeing something extraordinary. I don't think I'm alone. I checked Tomatoes website and the reviews were all over the map, not only huge disagreement but each one seemed to emphasize a different facet. I definitely recommend it for a rental. It is a uniformly well crafted and unique piece of work, and it will stay with you for days after -- at least.
