Truly, One of the Funniest Films...

I saw Shaun of the Dead about... 3 months after seeing Dawn of the Dead (2004 remake) for the first time -- a film that remains as the scariest I've ever seen -- and the idea of seeing this film -- Shaun of the Dead -- seemed slim to none because of the enormous fear I have of the fall of society, BUT! Shaun of the Dead not only delivers in some truly horrific moments, but some of the most spot-on comedic scenes in any film I have seen. The acting in here is great. No one gives a minor effort, and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are great together. Bill Nighy gave me a jump in my seat, not that he was scary or anything, just the fact that he was in this, I was very surprised to see him here 'cause I didn't think he'd do this kind of film, and he's GREAT! This is basically your average zombie-flick but parodied, though elements of the characters make this slightly out of the norm. The comedy works, and if one knows zombie films, then they'll get a special kick. This film is pretty gorey; you see a man get his limbs ripped off, his belly turned inside out, and his head finally goes, as well as zombies getting maimed in car accidents and bludgened to death with cricket bats. Overall, Shaun of the Dead is truly one of the funniest films I've ever seen, though it's gorey at times, the chemistry between the characters keeps this film at a solid 5 stars. Rent/Buy this movie. **If you like this, watch Hot Fuzz and the show these two were on, I can't remember the name, though I'm sure it's on IMDB if you look up their names.

Listen Up Itunes and Movie Buyers!!!

I am British and know this movie very well. When it first came out in England it was a BIG hit. To make us, viewers, happy and to make you, itunes more rich, add the movie Hot Fuzz. It has to same two actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, who are EXCELLENT. Trust me you will make a lot of money and make us happier. EVERYBODY WINS!!!
