Plot Summary
When biotech exec Jack (Anthony Mackie, 8 Mile) blows the whistle on his greedy drug-conglomerate bosses (Woody Harrelson, Natural Born Killers, and Ellen Barkin, Sea of Love) over an insider-tradingscandal, he gets more than he bargained for. Once this playa is played, he finds himself hitting rock bottom when an old flame, Fatima (Kerry Washington, Save the Last Dance), blows back into his life with the ultimate job offer: father her child, no strings attached. Teaming up to turn the tables on corporate culture, he sets up shop as a stud-for-hire at 10 G's a pop for a bevy of wealthy lesbians. When Jack delivers the goods, even his ex's glamazon gal pals can't resist his considerable...charms. Torn between love and money, Jack chases his American Dream all the way to the bank. Butthings heat up when Jack impregnates the Mafia daughter (Monica Bellucci, The Matrix Reloaded) of anotorious boss (John Turturro, Secret Window), triggering the FBI to expose Jack's cash-cow scheme.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Spike Lee's She Hate Me is about as awful as a film can be without being the ultimate awful, which is boring.
Rotten: Might qualify as the most misguided, ill-conceived and lamentable film of [Lee's] career.
Rotten: Sheer agony to sit through.
Rotten: Lee presumably had two ideas, one an expose of pharmaceutical greed, the other a sex comedy: then he decided that neither one would make a film in itself and came up with the lame idea of combining them.
Customer Reviews
Layered but relevant.
Spike Lee is a master of addressing thought-provoking social issues. Same-sex love/parenting, whistleblowing, ascending while black in corporate America, "the hustle", etc just to name a few themes in the movie. I appreciate this film and the relevance to provoke a generation to dialogue and think.
She Got Nuttin
Possibly the dumbest, most unfocused, most unfunny, most misogynist and most racist movie Spike ever put a talented cast through, and that's saying something. The 2 stars are in sympathy for the cast.
