Plot Summary
In the tradition of Scarface and The Harder They Come, "Shottas" is an unapologetic raw urban drama about two men, Wayne and Bigs, who grow up together on the rough and dangerous streets of Kingston, Jamaica. As young boys, they begin a life of crime, eventually moving to the U.S., where they begin a ruthless climb from the bottom to the glittering top of a criminal enterprise in Miami filled with fast cars and gorgeous women. The two men remain fiercely bound by their shottas loyalty as they aggressively take control of the Jamaican underworld.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Stars from reggae and other musical worlds give acting a try in Shottas, a witless, misogynistic, gratuitously violent, drug-culture-worshiping film.
Rotten: Writer-director Cess Silvera delivers an empty, bullet-riddled exploitation combo of attitude and poses.
Rotten: Who says they don't write good women's roles anymore? The females on view fall into two prototypes: Hot Tub Chippie No. 2 or Plastic Surgery Fire Sale Victim No. 3.
Rotten: There's no Robin Hood here, just a lot of hoods.
