Masterful

Showing Up is an impressive piece of filmmaking on every level that should be seen by people from all walks of life. Regardless of what you do for a living, the message behind Showing Up is universal.

The film is an enlightening and honest look at the audition and what actors go through to put themselves out there constantly. It is funny, powerful, entertaining and insightful. If you are an actor you will appreciate hearing the experiences of some of the best in the field. If you are not an actor, you will come away with a new-found appreciation for the craft and what they go through just to get a job.

A phenomenal film, masterfully edited and thoughtfully directed. An absolute must-see for film lovers, filmmakers and anyone who has ever seen an actor perform in a play, a film or on TV. You will see them with fresh eyes.

A must for any aspiring actor!

This film offers a rare glimpse into the working actor's world...a must for any aspiring actor. This series of actor "snapshots" and insights presents a much bigger composite picture of the actor's plight- and the illusion that we are uniquely alone in our experiences in pursuing our craft. It shines a light of unity on the actor / casting director relationship, enlightening us to the fact that we are both really on the same side of the table, and on the same team with a common goal. Well worth a look!

Must have any creative artist!

Showing Up is a must-have for both fans of film as well as those making their living in the Entertainment Arts. This is a fantastic collection of interviews with very recognizable actors and also behind-the-scenes artists, speaking candidly about the audition process...something that most of us dread, regardless of our experience level. I found it very entertaining and reinforcing. This film shows us how connected we all are, in a very personal and transparent way. Very relatable as we prepare ourselves for any employment, Showing Up provides a community feeling in an often isolated process.
