Plot Summary
See Day and Date with Theatrical Release!! SIDEWALLS is a clever romantic comedy examining with charm how the architecture of a city conditions the lives of two of its residents. Taretto pays homage to the city of Buenos Aires as he reflects on how urban chaos, as well as new technologies, can unite people but also keep them apart (as the sidewalls of the title). Mixing animation, photography and graphic art he reveals the characters’ isolation and anxieties that are a staple of modern life in a noisy city that nonetheless has an irresistible charm.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Smart, wordy and sweetly sympathetic to lives lived online, "Sidewalls" coasts on Martin and Mariana's twin voice-overs, alternate musings on themselves and their city.
Fresh: A shrewd, intellectually playful rom-com that delivers the gooey goods...
Fresh: Leandro Martinez's eye-pleasing cinematography complements Taretto's literate script, although the Hollywood ending is jarring.
Rotten: With its themes of alienation in the Internet age and cutesy indie-ish trimmings, the film will feel familiar to anyone who's seen a bittersweet romantic comedy from Sundance.

Finally a good movie
If you love good moviemaking and movies depicting the human condition then this is a movie for you. If you are looking for the now usual Hollywood crap with big bucks and big ban and no meaning whatsoever then this is not your movie.
I loved this movie and shows the intimate, true life in Buenos Aires a very special city.
Beautiful Cinema photography - Touching
The filming and framing are brilliant, the story is touching and heartwarming. It really reveals the importance of human connection in the internet age and shows how technology designed to bring us together can separate us. This isn't a new story but is wonderfully presented and well acted in about an hour and a half.
