To break the wicked spell, Sinbad must set forth on a journey unlike any ever traveled. Awaiting him on this perilous voyage is an assortment of beasts beyond one's wildest imagination. Among the creatures encountered are the Minoton, a bronze colossus, a giant troglodyte, a sabre-toothed tiger, and an "almost human" baboon. My God, that Monkey is Annoying...

Jane Seymour can't even save this flick, which is substandard by comparison to previous entries. Harryhausen never disappoints, but the leaden Minotaur and that squeaking monkey will not be remembered among his better inventions. Please rent or buy "7th Voyage of Sinbad" or "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad" for your money's worth.

Outstanding and fun! Fun and creative special effects. Obviously this movie is a product of its time - anyone going into this movie not realizing this is naive. Whhhhheeeee! Giant walruses!!!!

Sinbad & The Eye of The 70s

...& that's a good thing! Sure, the monsters are all stop-motion, but this was long before CGI. Imagine the labor it took to pose those things frame by frame! Slightly hokey dialogue & a little much on the screechy Baboon- Prince in places, but very entertaining, child-friendly & fun adventure w/ a hilariously over -the-top performance by a middle-aged cougar mama as the evil witch, who worked it hard for that paycheck! John Wayne's son convincingly handsome swashbuckling hero, scantily-clad Jane Seymour in her 1st US role, & Taryn Power, gorgeous surfer girl daughter of another H'wood legend, Tyrone.
Light, solid fun from an innocent era, Harryhausen's spfx at its apex. Worth a rent for a fun afternoon w/ the kids, buy primarily for the dedicated Sinbad/Harryhausen fans. Nostalgic, pure at heart adventure, ages 8-40s. enjoy!
