Plot Summary

Living on the dangerous, drug-infested streets of downtown L.A for nine days and nights, Grammy award winner Pras Michel goes undercover as a homeless person. The entire time he and his crew are incognito using surveillance cameras. Skid Row is the compelling life-changing story of Pras learning how to fend for himself on the streets of Los Angeles while discovering the dark, volatile and very human side of Skid Row.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: [Skid Row is] less about finding humanity in the homeless population and more about realizing how a change of circumstance could lead even the most cocooned viewers to find dark inhumanity in themselves. – Monica Hesse, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: ...Skid Row too often comes to feel like a vanity project, with the focus of the film frequently shifting away from Skid Row's history and people to Pras's sketchy immersion in homelessness... – Ed Gonzalez, Slant Magazine, Oct 6, 2007
