Im not sure how long YOU spent in the middle east, but after 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan I think I have earned the right to make this comment. Ive talked to hundreds of Iraqi's who lived their entire life in fear and are grateful for the chance to be free from it. Most countries like Iraq cannot make the decision to "liberate" themselves because the little people do not have a voice; their country is run by thugs. What would you have said about the Nazi's in WWII? They werent killing Americans until we got involved. Im sure you would have found some political claim in that war as well. Thats ok though, Ill keep carrying your precious freedoms on my back while you watch the world live in terror from your 52" plasma...
Anti-War propaganda
Agree with the war or not, this film is anti-war propaganda. Notice how the people who lived under Sadaam's rule were / are for the liberation, yet the liberal-minded hippies back in the U.S. are against it. "For those who are against the liberation of Iraq I ask them to live under Sadaam's rule for 1 month. After that they will not be against Iraq's liberation." Politics aside, this "documentary" was put together pretty well, but I have seen better. OK buy for the price, but don't take it as word set in stone, as it seems to represent mainly a one-sided viewpoint.
isnt every war movie war propoganda?
Think about it very war movie you see they try and glorify warfare to the fullest. they try and make young people of the nation enter a war they know nothing about. it is all trying to get more and more people to enlist in the armed forces. this movie while very inspirational did make a point not many war movies have in the past. it defied all aspects of a good war movie and created a category of its own. this movie did the opposite of glorify the armed forces. this movie clearified why we are there, it is to help not to attack to conserve and spread justice through out the world.
