Fresh: Mr. Basset is too enamored of the usual action film cliches ... But he has a graphic visual style that suits the simplistic material and he keeps you watching even as the wet, sucking sounds of skewered flesh grows tedious.
Rotten: This muscular yet monotonous Kane just isn't much fun.
Fresh: "Solomon Kane" succeeds by embracing its identity as a straightforward genre exercise, complete with bone-crunching and blood-spurting action. By not aiming for more, it hits its target.
Fresh: It is, for a contemporary CGI-fraught fantasy-slash-living-video-game, not at all bad, dotted with moments of Bosch and steady on its storytelling feet.

Great
Awesome. A trace of vampire, demon, plague, medieval, 18th century, action, drama, horror, thriller, EPIC, and good acting.
Yes I think this is something where critics and customers agree.
A solid movie
Two things…
1st - this movie was dated 2009 but has not been released in the theaters. I assume that it had no distributor and languished as some movies do. That is why the movie cost 10 bucks to rent.
When you see a movie that is that expensive to rent, that is the case. You get to see in your home a movie before it has been released. So enjoy it and stop giving a movie bad ratings because you do not like the price. I can not read another review that complains about the price of a movie and gives it a poor rating solely for that reason. Go find something reasonable to complain about.
2nd - I liked this movie. It was a decent action flick with a message of redemption. I got to see a movie without leaving my apartment and having to risk bedbugs in a movie theater. So there you go.
Surprisingly Fantastic!
Well worth the rental and I'm glad I found it. I will be adding this to the collection.
