Plot Summary
Based on the Shores’ play of the same name, “Sordid Lives” tells the story of a trash-talking, wacky family who gathers for their grandmother’s funeral. When their grandmother is found dead in a seedy hotel room next to a much younger man, her passing brings the small community together as the town's characters rehash their worthless lives one by one (including a man with wooden legs, a tattooed barfly, and a transvestite in an insane asylum).

Camp done right!
You gotta see this movie to believe it. Every scene is amazing. There are so many quotes from this film that my friends and I use all the time. Beverly err Leslie Jordan is a laugh a minute. Delta Burke. Campy. Watch.
Loved this movie
Very cute & campy movie. It was hilarious. The characters are memorable, especially Brother Boy. Loved it.
Okay - worth a rent
There are some scenes that could have been superb, but a lot of the potential humor is lost - and the worst part is the attempt at putting a serious secondary plot in it. Why Olivia Newton John is in it is anyone's guess. Don't buy the movie, but it's worth the rental price just for the Brother Boy character.
