Plot Summary

Les is a kind-hearted and soft-spoken man who loves reading comic books. Everything changes for Les the day he is accepted into an experimental drug study. As Les begins to take the drugs, an unexpected side effect occurs – he begins to develop special powers: the ability to levitate, to read people's minds, and even walk through walls. Convinced that he is a superhero, he hits the streets to fight crime and protect the world from the forces of evil.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Ultimately it adds little to our understanding of the curious return of the superhero as our paradigmatic pop archetype. – Nathan Lee, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Thanks to Rapaport's brio in embracing the hero's drug-induced delusions, the movie is less a failure than a noble experiment gone awry. – Adam Markovitz, Entertainment Weekly, Nov 24, 2008

Fresh: It may not be perfect, but this under-the-radar indie from Hal Haberman and Jeremy Passmore is smart enough to leave you glad you found it. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: I just thought it was a cool indie film with a great leading performance from an actor we don't usually get to see in a lead. – Ben Lyons, At the Movies, Jun 24, 2010

Absolutely Amazing

This movie is one of the few that I could watch over and over and never get tired of seeing it. A must see. Brilliant theme unlike any movie I've ever seen. Highly original!

An Enjoyable Spin On The Superhero Genre

A nicely crafted indie film about conquering self-doubt. Darkly comedic, and well written. Rappaport is a much underutilized actor. He has an affable nature and likeability that shines through in this performance. While this film will remind many (who saw it) of Defendor, but it has it's own spin, and a nice twist at the end that will leave you guessing. It's well worth the rental or purchase price if you simply want to be entertained for an hour and a half. There's nothing too deep here, just a fun little character-driven dramedy that doesn't rely on stereotypes or cliche's to make it work.
