Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: The principals' enthusiasm for their material has never seemed to fade. If anything, that enthusiasm grows more appealingly nutty with time. – Janet Maslin, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Fresh: Weighed down by a midsection even flabbier than the long-in-the-tooth cast, director Nicholas Meyer still delivers enough of what Trek auds hunger for to justify the trek to the local multiplex. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: Director/coscripter Nicholas Meyer moves this vehicle efficiently. He employs some tremendous visuals. – Desson Thomson, Washington Post, Jun 6, 2007

Rotten: For a movie that begins with such promise, The Undiscovered Country ends with a whimper. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Jun 10, 2008

Movie gets even better!!!

For those of you missing those scenes this is the version that has them. Those "missing scenes" including the scooby doo ending, were never part of the theatrical release.

Why 4 stars?

This is the full version, but why did one person give this 4 stars? It's an awesome movie! Full Version too!

Fitting End

For a show that started on a shoe-string budget, was cancelled and barely survived the early years it has done wonders for the Sci-Fi community. Although we see Kirk in Star Trek Generations, it is sad to see the original crew retire. As Spock said, all things must come to an end, and this movie was a great ending. Of all the Star Trek movies made with the original cast and crew I enjoyed this one the most, and I highly recommend it to new and old Trekkies.
