Plot Summary
An elite military unit (SG-1) must flee back to Earth when two members of their team inexplicably disappear into thin air. But they return to a world in which the Stargate -- an Ancient device which allows them to travel to hundreds of planets -- was never discovered, and their own history has been erased. Now they must convince a dubious government and military that the timeline was altered by a powerful Alien enemy (Ba'al) in order to conquer Earth, and time is not on their side.

AMAZING
A must see for any Stargate fan. Some of the flight scenes looked a little..off but that is minimal and does not stray from the brilliance that is this movie. The cast was spot on the entire time, and Richard Dean Anderson brought me to tears, his acting was so amazing. Ben, Michael, Amanda- this is what SG-1 is all about: Family.
Great Stargate Movie
This really goes beyond being just a television drama. It really had the feel of a movie and I spent most of my time actually standing up watching it instead of sitting down. I thought The Ark of Truth to be a fine way to end the series, but this was better because it added to the mythos of the series. Further, watch all the way to the end with Cameron's audio file. It is a great way to end the movie and I laughed a bit about Amelia chasing him down.
WOW
I just watched this movie with my family last night and I must say: WOW I have seen a lot of complaining about this movie and people saying that it is "predictable", the same as the TV show, and such. I have to beg to differ. There was a lot of different things in this movie. Yes it still felt like Stargate, but it had a whole new feel to it at the same time. It felt like a movie! I didn't really know how they were going to fix things honestly, and the things that happened in this movie really surprised me. Like what Quetesh did (don't know how to spell her name) and what happened to Daniel (not saying because of spoilers). There were so many new touches to it that made it what it is, and what separates it from the series and makes it into a full movie. The split screen scene was a nice touch, the slight gore was eww but I personally didn't mind, and since it is a movie not a TV episode they were aloud to say a word a couple times that normally get edited out.. not saying which, you'll know when you see it (and no it is not the F word, Stargate is still a family friendly show) Also the thing with Cameron's grandfather being on the ship that was transporting the Stargate from Egypt to America was nice. I knew from the beginning because I recognized Ben Browder and was like "That must be his grandpa", but everyone else in my family did not notice (I guess I pay more attention) I especially like the end when they stopped Ba'al, and the picture in Cameron's locker. When they were panning the camera toward the locker you just knew who else was going to be in the picture. Even though you knew, it still was a "wow cool" moment, because you knew that there was a chance that in the new restored timeline Cameron kind of knew what had happened (since the rest of SG-1 didn't know) and there was some shred of evidence that something had happened. All in all, great movie. They did a great job for such a low budget. They payed a lot attention to detail, and the big picture as well, which makes for a great movie.
