Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The tonal idiosyncrasies may grate early on but things coalesce nicely until the whole thing starts to resemble a diverting short story. – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Throughout, first-time director DeMonaco shows a predilection for white-hot patches of lighting, squeezed close-ups, and actor overindulgence. – Nick Pinkerton, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: DeMonaco deserves credit for wanting to do something different. But what starts out as a witty tweak on tired mobster movies eventually collapses into those very same cliches. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Best is D'Onofrio as a gangster turned environmental activist -- he puts on a white three-piece suit, climbs to the top of a gigantic tree and refuses to come down. – V.A. Musetto, New York Post, Jul 7, 2010

Base On The Trailer

I like the picture quality as well as the theme... I have not wacthed it yet, but i plan to..... A paradigm it seems to be!

Definitely worth seeing

This movie ties together the lives of three men in an interesting and sometimes comical way, leaving you questioning after the end who was the villain, who was the hero, or did either even exist. Many of the jokes may only make sense to people from the New York area who understand the Staten Island reputation, but as I landed on this movie pretty randomly, I was surprised at how good it was. If you like dark humor, you'll like this film.
