Plot Summary
A syndicate wants to buy a whole district to rebuild it. They've bought every house except the small gym "Olympic", where Mr. Austria Joe Santo prepares for the Mr. Universum championships a month ahead. The rich sunny-boy Craig Blake is brought in by the syndicate as a dummy to buy the gym. But then he starts to like the people and falls in love with Joe's friend Marie-Tate.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: It is the sort of movie whose vapidity is exposed as soon as the clutter is removed.
Fresh: It introduces us to sharply defined, rather odd characters and then lets them mix it up. The movie is episodic, and some of the episodes are brilliant.
Fresh: It has its slack spells, but Rafelson's sure feel for the inexpressible subtleties of emotional relationships is evident throughout.
Fresh: Very much a product of its time, Stay Hungry is indulgent and only sporadically amusing, but kept afloat by a typically charming Jeff Bridges.

Wet Dream: Sally Field
The nude scene with Sally Field gave me a Wet Dream during my teenage years when the movie came out.
