Stevie Nicks
Only for those that worship and adore Stevie Nicks, and no one worhsips and adores Stevie Nicks more than Stevie Nicks.
Ugh...
Let me preface this by saying that I am both a Stevie Nicks & Dave Stewart admirer…
However, this "film" is a SNOOZER!! It's trite, tedious and for the most part, boring and self-congratulatory baloney, and I was extremely disappointed. Not only was it an over-the-top mutual admiration society fest between the two, but what was with all the 'touchy-feely' pseudo-sexual stuff going on between the two -- are they shagging or what? I've recorded in many of studios over the years, and no one I know acts like that. But here's the kicker -- when Stevie Nicks says to Lindsay Buckingham when he's delicately trying to point out the inconsistency in her lyrics (i.e. going from first person to third in the same lyric) -- she retorts by saying: "You wouldn't say that to Bob Dylan!" WHAT!?? You may have some good lyrics/songs, Ms. Nicks, but you're NO Bob Dylan!!! And I'm almost certain Lindsay was thinking that very same thing. Talk about being full of yourself. And what was with that "Solider" song -- ugh… Personally I think Ms. Nicks is way too full of herself to create anything of substance at this juncture. You don't just sit down and write a song thinking you can do no wrong because your such a "legend". Great music comes from being humble and open to life's lessons/experiences… she,of all people, should know that. I hope you find your way back, Miss Nicks, because you truly had some great moments in the past. (P.s. I also found it a bit insulting (for her backing vocals/friends) when she said that she could hire anyone she wanted in the world to sing back-ups, but kept them around because of her generosity of heart. Again… ugh :-S ).
I can't believe these reviews
This movie is a self-promoting, self-indulgent waste of time.
